The ground offensive

The British 30 Army Corps (XXX Corps) from their bridgehead in Belgium had to advance to Eindhoven swiftly by means of a small road leading to Valkenswaard and from there on to Eindhoven.

From Eindhoven the British would have drive straight on to Nijmegen and Arnhem by means of a small corridor that had to be cleared by Airborne troops.
